Ready-made cases for trading cards and collectibles helped us get started, and they are not going anywhere. But as more customers asked us to protect unusual collectibles, vintage electronics, memorabilia, models, and one-of-a-kind pieces, one thing became obvious: custom work is where Aegis Acrylic can make the biggest difference.
Our redesigned shop now puts made-to-measure display cases at the center of the experience and introduces a new way to request precision laser-cut acrylic parts.
Custom Acrylic Display Cases Built Around Your Item
Finding the right display case should not mean squeezing an item into the closest standard size or paying for far more space than you need.
With an Aegis custom acrylic display case, you enter the outside height, width, and depth of the item you want to protect. We use those measurements to fabricate a clear acrylic cover with the necessary clearance for a comfortable fit.

Each case is made to order in Michigan City, Indiana. Instead of pulling a generic size from a warehouse shelf, we cut and assemble the case for the measurements submitted with the order.
Choose the Right Level of Protection
Different displays need different levels of strength. Our acrylic tiers make it easier to choose the construction that fits the size, weight, and presentation of your project.
Shield — 3 mm Acrylic
Shield is our practical, affordable option for smaller and lighter displays. It provides clear protection from dust and handling without adding unnecessary visual weight.
Aegis — 3/16-Inch Acrylic
Aegis is designed as the balanced middle tier, offering a more substantial feel for medium and larger displays. This option is temporarily unavailable while we secure a better material source, but we plan to bring it back when we can offer it at a price that makes sense for our customers.
Vault — 6 mm Acrylic
Vault is our premium, heavy-duty tier. Its thicker construction gives statement pieces, larger displays, and high-end collections a strong, substantial presentation.

Vector-ready SVG, DXF, AI, and PDF files usually produce the fastest quote. If you only have a sketch or reference image, send it anyway—we can review the project and tell you what artwork preparation may be required.
Our current usable laser-cutting area is approximately 23.5 × 12 inches per part. Projects that fit within that area are welcome, from one-off personal pieces to repeat small-batch production.

Aegis Acrylic began with a love for collectibles, and that part of the business is still important to us.
Our ready-made cases remain a convenient option for popular trading card products and other items with consistent dimensions. The difference is that they now sit alongside a much broader fabrication service instead of defining the entire company.
Collectors can still find protection for familiar products, while customers with unusual items can order something built specifically for them.
Local Fabrication With Room to Grow
We are proud to fabricate our acrylic products in Michigan City, Indiana. Working locally and in small batches lets us pay close attention to measurements, improve our designs, and take on projects that larger mass-production shops may overlook.
This new direction also gives Aegis Acrylic room to grow. Custom display cases and laser-cut parts are the foundation, but we are already exploring premium display systems, integrated lighting, retail fixtures, branded acrylic pieces, and other fabrication services.
The goal is simple: when someone in our region—or anywhere in the country—needs an acrylic solution that is difficult to find, we want Aegis Acrylic to be the first company they think of.
